What Happens During a Venus Viva™ Treatment?
For the NanoFractional Radio Frequency treatment for skin damage, an applicator is placed against your skin. The applicator is designed with a series of tiny pins that deliver the radio frequency energy. The pins create miniscule wounds in the skin that stimulate collagen production and help your skin heal naturally. For wrinkle reduction, a second applicator is used to deliver thermal energy into the skin. During the treatment, you may feel a slight warming sensation in your skin, as well as a mild sensation that is similar to pinching the skin.
Does Venus Viva™ Skin Resurfacing Have Side Effects?
Your skin will be slightly red for the first 24 hours, and you will need to avoid certain activities during this time, such as heavy exercise, massages, and hot baths. The treatment may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight until it heals completely. Use a high-quality sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 and doesn’t contain any chemicals.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Venus Viva™ Skin Resurfacing?
The results from our Venus Viva™ skin resurfacing treatment are very gradual. The skin needs time to heal and produce new collagen. Expect full results in about 2 to 3 months. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 months.
